Preparation time...

Me and my Italian grandmother are preparing a dinner tonight, however, we needed more tomatoes, so in the bowl there is a mix of my home grown tomatoes, and safeways'.

We Have Tomatoes!!!!

After 2 weeks, we have finally acquired some what looks like fully developed cherry tomatoes!
I plan to put these into a salad dish that will be shared with my whole family. In total, there are 9 ripe or approaching ripe tomatoes, and these will be used in the salad later tonight!

SPROUTS AND FLOWERS!!

After around 50 days, I am seeing the first signs of new tomato life.  Small, developing cherry tomatoes and yellow flowers where the  budding tomatoes will soon be.

Wow.

I have not posted for a little while, and The tomato plant has grown 200% Maybe this is due to the increased sunlight lately and the fact that I have been putting small pieces of compost in the soil near the roots, to give more nutrients. (such as apple cores, orange peels, banana peels)

Acquiring new hardware.

The growth rate if this tomato plant has been exponential, so I am making an attempt to control the rapid growth of the plant by the implementation of a tomato fence.

A baby tomato plant of a - baby tomato plant.

Its been 2 days since the last time I carefully inspected my tomato plant, and whilst looking at the different features it now possesses, I have noticed a new small sprout growing. In order for this sprout to live, it is going to have to absorb enough light and not be eclipsed by the other, bigger sprout.

We Have Growth!

Its been 6 days, and using a delicate pruning process I had read up on, I was able to focus the growth of my tomato plant vertically rather than yielding more foliage.
